Ongline Podcast documents the life of a gay Malaysian-born Chinese living in the United States. Immerse yourself in the life of a not-so-typical individual. Expand your horizon by experiencing the topics, issues, stories, and simply, the life of a gay Asian man. Until now, the voice of a minority individual has not been this loud!

Hi John,

I just started to listen to this podcast today and am glad to hear that you are feeling better. I deal with depression myself and know that it can sometimes take more out of you physically and emotionally than you expect. I'm also glad to hear that you have made it back into the studio.

I also wanted to let you know that you have inspired me to start podcasting as well. I listen to the 773podcast, Brad is a friend of mine, and figured that I could do this too. I'm still figuring out software and equipment. Thanks for your inspiration.

Hi Jon, thanks for being courageous enough to talk about your depression. That's one of the troubles with the condition is that it is never talked about. Glad to hear you're feeling better. I don't post often but I always listen. I loved hearing your soundscapes of Penang. Thanks so much,
Love Nik x

Thanks Ben. I think it helps to go through that to understand. Good luck with your travel back to Australia. It'll be nice to see Gilbert.

T. Kevin, thanks for your comment. I'm pretty much back to my normal self. But I think I have a cold now. Or is it allergies. I don't know. But thanks so much.

Reynard aka Ah Hua, thanks for your love and support.

David, so sweet of you. I'll laugh as long as I'm able to. :D

Glad you are feeling better! As someone who has dealt with depression on and off for many years, I know all too well that feeling. Nice to hear from your latest podcast that you seem back to your usual happy self!

I can really relate to how you must feel or felt. There are days when I am in Australia where it just gets so difficult to get out of bed and not cry my eyes out. I am leaving in a few weeks back to Australia, and honestly, I am already a bit sad about it.

When I am in Australia, my friends there are like - oh, you have Gilbert so you should be fine. But I know that a boyfriend doesn't fill in the void of missing every single member of your family - who live across the world.

I'm glad you're feeling better. But there are those of us who go through the same depression, so you have a support group now in case you need it! I really thought it was a culture shock, but I do think it's the after-effects of being with those that you love for so long, then having to leave.

I know I haven't really kept up with you as of late because I'm working my butt off to accomplish what I thought was an unrealistic goal but it's working out for me. :)
