Bishop Finn is an asshole. Here’s why.
Saturday, November 8th, 2008Some of you saw my tweet on Election night. I said that my the Kansas City bishop, Robert Finn, is an asshole. Well, here’s why.
Shouldn’t the government be taxing the Catholic church, at least the Kansas City diocese for using fear to force Catholics to vote for a certain candidate (or his sly way of scaring Catholics to NOT vote for Obama). I think my catechism class also taught me that God speaks to me through conscience.
I don’t know how Bishop Finn and many others out there can preach “love” bigotry in the name of God. If they would only listen to their conscience.
With Proposition 8 in California passing, another act of discrimination is institutionalized, I feel like my living my life as a proud gay man is even more crucial than ever.
