This is just one instance of many, many mistakes made by a pope in behalf of the Catholic Church. And this pope is wrong about homosexuality. Sadly, statements made by the pope will result in more Matthew Shepards. I was raised Catholic and went to Catholic schools from preschool through college. Regardless of my belief or disbelief of the myths that surround Jesus Christ, one thing I won't forget is Christ taught love, forgiveness and acceptance. Christ was born to humble circumstances, lived his life with an all embracing love for everyone and died a miserable death. I wonder what he would think of this church and all other churches named after him.
