I was intrigued by the fact that the Malaysian local theater scene is now doing gay-themed productions. When I heard about the production of “Octopus” by the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Center (KLPAC), I contacted the publicist expressing my interests to chat with the director Kelvin Wong. You’ll learn a bit about the play, the production, the challenges and how this play goes beyond sexual orientation. If knowing what does it really mean to say “I love you”, then you’ll find this play worth checking out. If you’re gay, and you’re in KL, you must see this, and bring your straight friends along.
