I just came home from an interesting trip, I'll tell you more in my next podcast.

But in the meantime, my dream of listening to a Malaysian produced show that speak to me personally is finally here.

There has been Malaysian produced shows coming and going, but this is the one that speak to me the most. Not only is the language used closed to my heart, it is also daringly, GAY.

So, this may not be a language that you can understand, but if you do understand Mandarin, especially the very casual and colloquial Malaysian Mandarin, this show is for you. It doesn't matter if you're gay, bi, queer, intersex, transgender, or straight, this show is just pure fun. Well, as long as you can understand.

I can’t say that I have extensive knowledge about what’s going on last week in Malaysia. Several people have been detained by the notorious ISA (Internal Security Act). One was released, but at least a couple are still under detention. Under ISA, anyone can be detained without a trial. The simple possibility of disrupting and threatening security and public order, is good enough reason to detain someone. As many bloggers are afraid that ISA could be used to silence those who speak up against the ruling government.

Without much personal knowledge, I can only encourage you to read and decide for yourself. I am learning about it as of this post.

I am so excited to chat with PohSi Teng, one of the three winners of the Freedom Film Festival (FFF) 2008. Her bold subject in her documentary caught my attention. Find out about PohSi herself and her documentary project of Muslim transexual workers in Malaysia. She also talked about the challenges she faced and the things she got out of this project. I can't wait to see this documentary myself. I will give you my opinion as soon as I get my hands on this film.
