Today is National Coming Out Day. I was inspired by a video from the Human Rights Campaign‘s Coming Out Day video. Besides wanting to share the video from HRC, I also put some of my own thoughts about my personal coming out.

    John

That video was amazing – great pics – I love the line about being at least out for yourself….very touching – thanks for sharing!

You are very talented! Keep up the great work

I enjoyed every part of this video that was produced by you. You were (and are) so adorable. However I have to say that I am not a fan of the HRC due to their history of selling out the trans community.

  6. John Ong

Becky, I know exactly what you’re talking about. There are still a lot of education needed even within our own community. Many gay and lesbian people are putting in the B and T to be PC. We will have to do the work to make a change. I guess it’s not always possible to achieve everything. I love this country, I’m looking forward to becoming an American, but there are many things that the current USA stands for that I am very ashamed of. But that doesn’t stop me to want to become and American. We’ll just have to speak louder. Or eat more… maybe not. Just speak louder.

Tom, thank you very much.Looking forward to chatting with you soon.

My dear Miku John!!!….You really made “US” proud for those who had “out”, for those who are not yet “out” and for those who are never will!!!! The bottom line is to be “out” to ourselves and most impotanlty be “true” to ourselves!!!… and accept ourselves for who we are as a human being cause we all are born “equal”!!!
Luv this video podcast!!!!…but there are still a lot more “WE” need to do in order to reach “OUR” goal!!!!…keep up the good work!!!!!

Hey John – you have made all of us Malaysian proud!! I agree with you – one must at least come out to themselves.

Nilo, thank you so much for taking the time to drop me a comment. 🙂
I really isn’t too much effort to make my presence a tiny bit useful. It’s sorta like telling your friends that, “I’m here.” But I believe in the power of that tiny gesture. Thanks for your encouragement. I’ll keep pocasting. 🙂
