Eating my way from Los Angeles to Taipei Taiwan. Yay for internet here in Taiwan. We’ll see how fast the upload speed is. If you get this, it means, it’s okay.

Oh, get you, whore! Eating your way across continents. Eating continents. I love the sound of travelling – the airport announcers that never shut up, the rush of air on the plane. I enjoyed the channel hopping, too. I can only imagine the Asian sights. Sigh. This was great. Safe trip to Malaysia!
The eating has just begun. More to come. Starting to spot hottie Asians. I think flying business class sorta put me among older business men. Not very good.
I’m writing this from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Free wifi!
the best part of this was when you were talking about laughing at yourself and then you interrupted yourself because you saw there was chocolate cake, lol. Classic Ong, I loved it!
John, I’ve got some news for you. You said it was weird that you were around all of those asians at LAX…boy, are you going to be surprised when you see all of the asians in Malaysia. From what I understand, Malaysia has a very large asian population. 😉
I took the bus to the train at Narita airport, myself. Kind of odd.
You are in my thoughts – have a safe and happy trip!
Ah it took me a few hours to catch up on what’s going on with you, but I made it. I listened to your last 3 podcasts tonight. I am having some serious issues managing my time!
I was listening to you in the airport and I started giggling because I could have sworn that the noises were coming from all around me. I kept looking up because I heard those walkie-talkie things that the supervisors use where I work.
What was weird was that some of the chinese stuff you were recording – I could understand a bit of it. Not much though. It’s weird when you first hear someone speak a language, and it used to be instinct for me to want to giggle about it. After I hear it several times I’m like – oh, okay that’s fine. And then I start understanding a little of it and now I’m semi-impressed.
I do hope that you enjoy your vacation and I really hope that your flight was a good one. Listening to your podcast made me want to vomit (I hate flying, oddly enough). I’ll say it again – I hate flying. I hate flying for more than 12 hours too from LAX to Australia. But I guess that’s a good idea for my podcast – that is, when I get some decent content!
I admit that I was pretty grouchy about when I heard you say that you were going to have to be away from your bf for a while – I was thinking to myself: “hey, look what I have to deal with.” Jealousy pulses through my veins now. I completely understand that you’ll miss him. I miss mine. Today IS his birthday and I’ll also miss V-Day with him too – something I didn’t plan on missing with him this year. I feel your pain. And of course, I’m not as bitchy now.
Anyway, I won’t get into that now. The important thing is that you enjoy the company of your family and take care of them. 🙂
