I totally feel for your first speaker with the VISA issue staying in the US, I am currently going through similar issues but not quite as dire. I know this sounds so naive to say, but why cant’ we are just stay here.

I would love to talk to him and give each other comfort.

Hi Johny. Though that I give some feedback regarding the H1 Visa status and application process.

Am sure we all have gone through this from I-20 to a Practical Training 1year (12 months) thing and in between you do a H1 visa.

Of course you need a company who would do the sponsorship but you will need to check with them up front if they wanna do it for you. Plus…I am sure you also know that which companies in your town or the city who would do it. For this case you should be well taken care. Secondly. Never use the company attorney cause at the end they will tell you that they dont have enough sufficient documents. (by saying so…that also mean that the company you work for is not “willing” to do it) Forget about the labor certificate thing. Get your own Attorney is the key.

I currently now living and workign in Europe but I had been through all the things yall is going through right now.

    summary:
Finished my school, got my 1year practical, later found en employer and had my own attorney to do it for me (H1) later, found another new employer with their own but I had mine attorney as a reference of things they are doing. Later…when I pursue the green card status…the company also using their own attorney but they did not do it correct cousing me to resign but with a better offer of job in Europe. I suggested them to use mine from Chicago but none of them willing to do it.

So…my conclusion is that…use your own attorney. Am not sure how far your friend is now with his process, but let me know if you need the reference of attorney from Chicago.

    Thanks for all the comments.

Phil will surely appreciate it. I guess this is the best place for all of you to communicate with Phil.

As far as I know, Phil is already in the process that he’s only waiting for the result. I hope he’ll update that for you.
