    I’m a 1st time listener – from about 100+ episodes ago 🙂

I need to stop listening to your podcasts on crowded L trains. I busted out laughing when you called me a rice queen, and got some strange looks. The term doesn’t bother me when used in a nice way.

As for compliments… I think people in Long Term Relationships need and appreciate hearing things from strangers/friends. Yeah, it’s one thing when you hear it from your partner…but you expect it from him. When you hear it from someone else, thats the *real* pleasant surprise and it becomes an ego builder. John, since you mentioned you never really dated before your current partner, you probably never heard it much.

Well I want to tell you, that you are a sweet warm funny guy. You may not have intended to “fish” for a compliment…but we all deserve to hear them now and again. Thanks for your wonderful show.

Brad, you are so sweet. And thank you.

Oh boy, now you’re asking for it. I told you the other day that I’d given up arguing about you being fat, but I lied.

You are a handsome guy, you’re not fat and I think there is something in “look good, feel good” in that you have to be happy with your own appearance and then, weirdly, other people seem to like it too even if you haven’t changed.

I really don’t think I’m hot (like you on this show, thank you!) but if someone says I am, I feel better about myself and perversely take more care in that way. I certainly don’t argue when someone says it now, even though I’m still cringing inside.

So, I actually don’t think it does anyone any good to be too down on themselves for lots of reasons, and if there are things you want to change, do your best to change them.

I bet there are downsides to being an absolute stunner like Oliver too, but, er, yeah, um, OK, maybe not. 😀

Thanks for all your comments. I knew it is going to turn into this (fishing for compliments). But I appreciate all your kind words. And beauty is the eye of the beholder.
I think Archerr’s ChingChong message sums up what I feel. I don’t feel bad for myself for not being the hot one. In fact, I am very lucky to be able to be the cheery happy one.

Now my fat. I have no one else but myself to blame on that. I have to commit to exercising. I’m working on getting there. When I was younger, it used to be so much easier to lose the few extra pounds. Since I turned 30, things changed. But my laziness hasn’t. That’ll be me challenge. What can I say. Fat, you’re a fucking whore! 😀

Not sure if you saw this – Lance Bass is family! (not a big surprise)

    Dear John / Miku…

aiya…sometimes…those “guys” like to used sweet word to catch people heart…
but…i can tell you they are not so “true” or i mean not from their heart…
they just like “get used to it” for what kind of “sweet words” they used…
if that guy is “cute” also…for me…i wont “shake my heart”…
coz i already have a “hubby” who treat me so good…
