Some of you saw my tweet on Election night. I said that my?Ǭthe Kansas City bishop, Robert Finn, is an asshole. Well, here’s why.
Shouldn’t the government be taxing the Catholic church, at least the Kansas City diocese for using fear to force Catholics to vote for a certain candidate (or his sly way of scaring Catholics to NOT vote for Obama). I think my?Ǭcatechism?Ǭclass also taught me that God speaks to me through conscience.?Ǭ
I don’t know how Bishop Finn and many others out there can preach “love”?Ǭbigotry in the name of God. If they would only listen to their conscience.?Ǭ
With Proposition 8 in California passing, another act of discrimination is institutionalized, I feel like my living my life as a proud gay man is even more crucial than ever.

Prop 2 (better housing conditions for farm animals) in California did pass; so apparently there is more concern for California’s chickens than its homosexuals.
There was a flood of money sent to California to support Prop 8; the amendment to make the only valid marriage that of a man and a woman.
Yes on 8 meant no to same sex marriage and a California constitutional amendment to remove people’s rights – that alone was a jaw dropper.
In support of Prop 8, the Mormon Church sent something like $20M, and the Knights of Columbus (The Catholic Church’s “insert your own interpretation here”) sent $1.4M. For a larger list of all the homo haters, check out: http://is.gd/6GeZ
As for the here and now, I think the writing is on the wall regarding all religious organization’s tax free status. The country is broke, the economy is in the can, the future is dim and Churches are cash cows. If they are going to meddle in civil affairs, then they can pay (taxes) to play.
Fair is fair.
Would have liked seeing your bishop once he learned Barack Obama had been elected the 44th President of the United States of America. Ha Ha Ha, Bishop Finn, go f*** yourself.
