Could I ask you, having read your posts about how you have gone from using a mini-disk recorder to an iRiver, what you use for your sound scenes?
I am about to take a Nile Cruise that I nwant to record and make into an MP3 file that potential travellers can download to get an idea of what the cruises are like.

The main reason why I switched over to iRiver was because my MD recorder was giving me dropouts.
But, there are several other factors. One is that it’s much lighter. No spinning physical part. Hence no noise. Plus, I can do a faster download of the file from my iRiver straight to my computer. On MD, I’d have to do a real time capture.
I’ve only used my MD on a few shows, most of them are recorded on iRiver. All my soundseeing tours are recorded on iRiver. A good binaural mics would be my personal preference.
