This is merely one of the many inequality that I have to face as a gay man. My partner and I do not get the same rights as everyone else simply because in this country, we are not allowed to get married. And therefore, we are missing out on a lot of financial protections that our straight counterparts enjoy.
Suze Orman, an honestly out lesbian said so on her show that it is a “travesty”. But she is not just all talk, she has given a promo gift code to everyone, gay or straight, to create their trust and will for free.

Use the Promo Code: People First
Until we all have the same rights, it is very important for you to do this to protect your partner or loved ones.
Thank you for this reminder, John! My husband and I have been meaning to do update our wills for a very long time. My small donation is the amount it would have cost to purchase a book (used, though) to guide me through doing this. It goes to you instead for doing the important work of not only kicking my butt to get it done, but to not take for granted a right that has been bestowed upon me just for being legally married. At least can I be spared the “breeder” nickname since I refuse to spawn?
🙂
I believe you know that I’m an active and proud trans-ally, and will welcome along with you and all the GLBTQ community when we all are afforded the same, equal rights.
Thank you again for your important blog and podcast, John.
K, thanks for your generosity again in your donation. I know you’re a big ally for the GLBTQ community. And I’m glad you’re cherrishing your marriage rights. And thanks for fighting the same rights fir the rest of us.
Suze explains why will alone isn’t enough. Hope you’ll get both done.
And thank you for your contnious support on Ongline and Ding da Bell.
Suze is right, will alone is not enough. It takes a nation of proactive people working to get local elected officials in place is a good place to start. I encourage everyone to realize getting the right man into the White House is just a start. We need to work locally to elect like-minded officials at our local levels to get the hope of change into real change.
Amen!
