KLIA Wifi

KLIA wifi

I am now at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. There’s free wifi. So cool!

Had a very pleasant flight, business class. Uh hmm… well, I got an upgrade from the miles I collected. It was on the top level of a 747. Very nice. And the food was wonderful.

So now. I’m waiting to take the regular old cramped coach class back to Penang. Luckily it is under and hour. I think I stink! Or at least I feel dirty. 😉 Not that dirty.

You may want to check your iTunes or any other podcatcher frequently, I may post more than usual.

Love y’all!

Found It!

If you know me personally or through my podcast and if you are observant, you may realize that I change around my glasses a lot. One of my favorite pairs of glasses got scratched up really badly and so I had to go look for my older pairs to wear.

I had been hunting and hunting for this pair of glasses for two months. This morning when I woke up, the idea of it being dropped under the bed came into my mind. Chai, our boy cat loves to play on my bedside table, and there is a chance that this pair of glasses got knocked down by him. Indeed, it was there. Under the bed, nicely inside its box. So happy. Here I am in my some-what-new pair of spectacles. And of course, it wouldn’t be quite me without all the colors and tinted lenses.

And by the way, why is my face the size of Asia?

Oh, Flash!

PMNet Reunite?

PMNet

Getting to reunite with my old friends. I mean, OLD friends. PMNet is short for Pasar Malam Network. Pasar Malam is Night Market in Malay. This group of friends always meetup for meals and a stroll every Tuesday night at our town’s night market. It’ll be 16 years since the whole group got together. I hope this February, we’ll be able to make it happen.

Internet Inches

We didn’t get ten inches. But some areas south of us did get close to ten inches.
We probably got about four to five inches. It was pretty, but not so fun to drive in. Well, perhaps five actual inches is ten internet inches.

This is what it looks like in our front yard this morning:
Winter is here

Yesterday, I had to drive in this condition to get myself home. It took twice as much time to drive home.

A Plane! A Plane!

It’s Thanksgiving. I did nothing. Ate. And showing off what my brother discovered while playing with Google Earth. A plane! The plane is flying over my hometown of Penang. Specifically, over the Gurney Drive area. Perhaps it’s no big deal, but I was excited. I’m sure my Penang Hokkien podcast listeners.

Google Plane

If you have Google Earth on your computer, get the zipped KMZ file from here. I’m not sure if it’ll show up in every version. I’m running the Mac version of Google Earth version 4.0.2093(beta). Let me know if you see it in yours.

I sent this post to boing boing too. The Gay Expat encourage me to boing it. So, we’ll see if they boing the boing I boing.

Trying to be Scruffy

Trying to be Scruffy

With a bit of encouragement from my partner, I decided to “try to be scruffy”. Are you going to vote?
I am pretty much hairless, facially. This is a picture snapped this morning, after not shaving for four days. And yes, if you look harder, you’ll see something.

Do you know who to vote for? We’ll see how it goes. Bruce enjoys it, and I’m a bit self-conscious about it. I keep feeling dirty. Are you voting for betterment of humanity or for your pocket book and fear? I guess that’s part of being a bit scruffy isn’t it?

Do you know you’re voting for me too? Is it a bit dirty of me to have inserted the voting messages amongst my facial hair? There certainly is a lot of room there, and being dirty is in fact, a part of being scruffy.
